Interesting. . . it was my understanding that HLBS discontinued production of their 28mm figures.  Did Tiger buy the line from them or do they just have some left in stock?

They bought the whole range of British/canadians and US in winter gear, royal canadian mounted police and miners. I also know that they bought some guns but as for them later.

Thanks Matt. Very kind of you to say so.  :)

Yesterday I checked Nort Star's site for some order I need and I found that they have now the animals by HLBC
Remember the dinos are now carried by Copplestone!

Very nice entries so far. Love the Landsknecht Ogres!

For me not the most effective month, only managed to finish off a few miniatures started in May. Blame the weather: sunshine isn't seen that often round here. ;)

1) Late 17th century French regiment "La Reine" (Copplestone)

2) Spanish guerrilleros for our "Sharpe" skirmishes (Perry)

More perspectives on MY BLOG, of course.

Grimm Wow   :o
All these animals are wonderful  :-*

@Mad Doc : I really like your painting but I'm totally amazed how you drift from era to era, from Louis XIV to Boney, via ancient Greeks : you're a real butterfly, aren't you ?  ;)

Absolutely, no denial. I've become completely overwhelmed by the multitude of high-quality miniatures, games and - not the least - painters these days. Add my general addiction to history, both as hobby and profession, and one might understand my "dilemma". Only way to deal with it: Give in and become a butterfly! Besides, as the Romans said: varietas delectat. ;)
However, my blog doesn't necessarily represent what I'm actually working on in the right order. By majority photos are taken en bloc and posted online when I get a break from painting (or searching the net for inspiration).  o_o

Great animals, where do those models come from?

I especially like the Hyenas, they look sinister enough!

They are from the old HLBSC range, now available from North Star:
