Rapid fire
«
on:
March 27, 2020, 01:34:57 PM »
Being board and stuck in the house I was cleaning out my garage and dug out my old 20 mm stuff and I have managed to persuade by boy to play a game
The objective is to cross the river and take the town
To do this the allies have a US armoured infantry Battalion supported by a British tank regiment against a German Battle group
Will post more pics after the game

Thanks guys
some more pictures
my plan was to rush my light tanks across the bridge but this failed as the first one was hit and stopped on the exit of the bridge, I tried to cover the tanks with smoke but failed so I moved my main effort to the ford further down the river
but this crossing is also covered by another big gun
so this crossing was also hit
this is a pic of my bulldozer trying to clear the crossing of wrecks

I had a second tank on the bridge trying to tow the wreck but it was hit by a panzerschreck from the church yard
the traffic jam was getting bigger
Some headway was made by the bulldozer leading the charge until another tank appeared in the woods
After managing to clear the defences around the church
but not the rest
I called enough is enough at this time, both crossings were blocked and I had nothing left to deal with the enemy tanks left

Top stuff Gamer Mac!
Nice to have an opponent on hand I’m reduced to solo play temporarily!
One of my mates uses Rapid Fire (with added command Control Rules) for North African games.

Colin, it’s a winner, old school, easy to play and you usually get a result. What’s not to like.
