Soviet Kommisar

A Kommisar was something I was working on at the same time as getting my test mini finished. I wanted to paint something to inspire my troops on the battlefield and, more importantly, myself to carry on painting. A Kommisar waving a Soviet flag sounded like it would fit the bill quite nicely. The flag was eventually made out of a business card, and the banner pole is a length of brass rod. Should help me concentrate my efforts in painting more comrades to defend Mother Russia:




The flag design isn't quite right, but it took me long enough to get it looking 'ok', and I didn't dare try to alter it again. For much the same reason, I wasn't brave enough to try and paint it on the reverse. They are tasks I can always return to, but the time would be better spent on others for now.

the flag ( and the mini!) look fine to me, anyone who nit picks about it not being on the revers isn't playing in the right spirit
