If you can find the Feb 2019 Wargames illustrated, there is an article there on Iraq 1941, including recommendations on converting figures.

I do. Also my book is available from Caliver Books. Summary of the campaign, details of units involved and ideas for modelling them finished off with a selection of scenarios.

I can recommend dadlamassu's book. Also this primer...

As for your question about Syria, reach out to Richard B on this forum or his other haunt, the SOTCW site, and see what he can give you; he has done quite bit of Syria '41 gaming.

Good luck.

Deal Wargames also did a pretty cool demo game centred on Habbaniya at Salute once, which was detailed in an issue of MW (I think this was 2003?). Much better than the WI article, imho.

There's also this game report.

That is one of the scenarios from my book.  Nicely done and on a better layout than I have!
