Killer-B-men and a Seagull
« on: 22 November 2009, 11:54:42 AM »
Now that I have the camera set up I'll show you something else I finally finished.

Killer B Games Protectorate Guard (perhaps my all time favourite figures, btw!)

and a Tobsen Seagull

I guess I'll have to print out a couple of suitable backdrops tomorrow at work, these'd look so much nicer with a red martian sunset in the background... Maybe something suitable for my b/w gangsters...

Love the protectorate guard, are you doing a seagull in matching colours too ?
The red finish looks great, but perhaps a bit "sporty" for the dour troopers, more of a hero (or villain) colour scheme.

The backdrop doesn't look bad with the retro style - sort of "used rocketship salesroom" perhaps.

Nice.
The choice of colors work very well with the retro style of the figures.
Good job 8)

Both the figures and the Seagull look great - very well done.

I decided to go with a colour that doesn't match any of the minis I've painted for my retro-scifi stuff so its easier to use it with any faction.

Thanks to Super_Gibbon I now have a couple of wooden Michaels' rockets, which are the next thing I'll do for this project. One of those will be black/yellow, but I still haven't decided what to do with the other one.

Next on the workbench, however, are a bunch of fishmen...

Love both!

Now, I absolutely HATE to point out stuff like that, but do you plan to add muzzles (not necessarily drilled-out) to the Seagull“s guns? ;) Or maybe projector lenses? Looks a bit unfinished by now.

Lovely. That Seagull has come out really nice. The guns look fine - I just look at them as being some other technology and not conventional weaponry. I also think they will look excellant drilled out too though.
