French Napoleonic Allies Beginning With 'W'... (AB Figures)
« on: 10 October 2020, 10:48:22 PM »
There's probably been too much Jungle Green on my blog just lately, so I've brightened the place up with some more of Napoleon's allies.  This post has been brought to you by the letter 'W':

Battle Honours figures are now produced by 19th Century Miniatures (AKA Old Glorys 15s). The Confederation of the Rhine figures can be found here https://www.oldglory15s.com/Confederation-Of-The-Rhine-1809-1813_c242.htm

Lovely work, as always.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Cheers.  I've avoided buying those as subsequent 'owners' of Battle Honours added some bloody awful figures to the range and Tony Barton hasn't sent them any masters for 30 years, so I'd never buy them without seeing photos and knowing 100% that they were good-quality Tony Barton sculpts.

What other allies do you have?

What other allies do you have?
Bavarians
Badeners
Italians
Duchy of Warsaw
Neapolitans
Hessen-Darmstaedt
Croats
Saxons
Hanoverian Legion
Irish Legion
Legion du Midi
Nassauers
Vistula Legion (cavalry only)
Berg (cavalry and artillery only)

I could do with getting some some Swiss, Berg infantry, Vistula Legion infantry, some more Westphalians, the Spanish 'Joseph Napoleon' Regt, some Spanish 'Anfrancesados' units and the Portuguese Legion.

That is quite a list...  o_o

Surprised you don't have the Swiss though. They have a really lovely uniform.

The Württembergers look awesome!

Ah, well I have cheated slightly, as I already have the Legion Hanovrienne in red coats and they've stood in for the Swiss on the rare occasions I've needed them.

Oh I need to get some Kingdom of Holland troops as well.
