Antenociti's Workshop: Ogre Traveler.
« on: April 07, 2021, 11:47:37 PM »
Thought folks might be interested in seeing the 3D printed 15mm AW Ogre Traveller, available as an STL on their site. I had this printed by Proteus 3D Modelling, since if you're like me don't have the room for a 3D printer just yet but want to get into 3D prints outsourcing is the way to go. Furthermore the chassis is a single piece, only the wheels and turrets are separate and as such only certain printers can accommodate its size.

This Vic would be a pretty solid choice as an APC for 28mm. Although advertised as 15mm only (at 28mm I think it'd be around 32cms long from what Proteus mentioned) a Primaris Space Marine has his head just clearing the rim of the wheels, so most average 28mm figures would stand as tall as the wheel. There is also a single large door at the rear measuring about 25mm in height.

If folks would like to see more pics with 28mm figs I can sort something out. Eventually when I figure how the hell I'm going to paint this it'll end up on the 15mm thread.

Gosh, what a beast!  :o

Seriously nice model that, and I look forward to seeing it painted. Do you have a style or scheme in mind for it yet?  :)

Honestly? Haven't a clue, I had in mind to Mechwarriors Red n Black House Steiner, or maybe Black and Orange in line with a new faction I've been considering, however I almost feel it'd be brilliant as a scenery piece or civvie vehicle.

Both sound like good schemes to me!

I thought a "District 9" white-orange-black-metals scheme could work well, especially if you used some tan weathering powders for that "worn-in" look. :)

Yeah, I think it would work well as a scenic Civvie vehicle too. Be interesting to fight over/around at that scale too. It could even have it's own scenario if you feel like writing one? :D
