Agree with Sir Theo but unfortunately that’s the world we live in.

If it helps I am halfway through printing the files and they are great.

Don’t let one selfish greedy idiot get you down.

All the best for future projects and hopefully it was a one off.

That's basically a scam, no? They buy in to the kickstarter, receive the goods (which you can prove), then claim their money back. What have Kickstarter said about it?

Sorry to hear that  :(

I could donate £20 for maybe a road stl file if it helps?

PM me if you need another "pseudobaker". I don't even have a 3D printer but who cares...

Thanks, It's fine though. It's not anywhere near to breaking the bank. Just annoyed that someone things they can just play the system to get free stuff.
Sometimes I really wonder whats wrong with people. So sorry to hear this, and I think you are fully entitled to rage!
Lol, thanks. I'm much calmer now :) Just chalking it up to bad business. On the plus side. It is all digital files so I'm not out of stock or anything like that.
That sucks big time, BC. Just shared this with my backer buddy, see if we can help you out a bit. Looks pretty darn good, those ruins ( missed this KS totally due to real life issues ).
Thanks, but only if you want the stuff. I have plenty of other campaigns coming up that will include this stuff. Just hope I can block that guy rather than having to check each time.

I think Yes, hard to really prove though. Kickstarter alerted me to it and forwarded through all my evidence to the credit card company. I've contacted them again to see if I can personally contact the credit card company to find out why they were believed over me. What evidence did they have? I had kickstarter evidence from DriveThruRPG that I had sent it to the email provided and also contacted DTRPG (they do my fulfillment) about whether they had redeemed the codes, which they had (maybe even downloaded? can't remember).

Thanks Tadgie. Nice to hear that you like the stuff :) You're right it is the world we live in and I'm mostly over it now :) Thanks

I'm very reasonable and if they had contacted me with a legitimate reason I would have understood. Yes hard times and all that with the pandemic and I would have been more than happy to help out if that was the reason. But not one word of communication. I'm not going to communicate with them either as I don't think I would say anything very nice. Oh well. 3 years and it is my first issue. I should count myself lucky. :)

Sorry to hear about the shady customer, that’s disappointing.

I’ve been looking at 3D printers, and projects like this really drive me towards wanting to buy one. Any suggestions on a good starter, noob friendly, printer?

I look forward to seeing your future builds.

The best beginner one I can think of is the Ender 3 V2 (I have a Ender 3 Pro which is the earlier version) They are fairly easy to get going and cheap compared to other printers too. FDM printers (the extruded plastic sort) are mostly only good for terrain. Resin printers are better for miniatures (although you can get some good results on an FDM sometimes)

ruins look great. 3D printing really does look the biz now.

shame about the shyster - you're displaying an admirable response to it in letting it go. Glad it's not such a sum that you have to get into a fight about it - and that it's the only experience of this sort you've had.
