ASOIAF Lannister
« on: September 20, 2021, 01:43:09 PM »
Painted up a unit of Lannister Knights of Castlerly Rock. These make interesting additions to the rest of my lannister force .  I have added photos of a unit of crossbow plus 2 units of the Mountain's men.  I have also 4 more painted infantry units plus a Hpuse Stark force.

Figures are essentially display pieces

Really nice looking stuff! I've got quite a bit painted up as well, but I'm playing with them using new bases (5 wide) and Oathmark rules. LOVE me some GoT!

Have you tried CMONs ASOIAF game?

It is a great game.

Your miniatures look great! Love the Knights of Casterly Rock in particular.

Lovely work! I really like the golden yellow you've got going there especially

Thanks for the kind comments, the knights came out better than I expected the yellow trim around the barding was a bit fiddly but I think worth the effort.
Ive played ASOIF and Oathmark both are good games but I think that ASOIF has more depth and variety of units. Sadly, I have been struggling to get people interested. One gamer was very dismissive of the tactics cards describing them as magic and stating that he prefers games which offer a more detailed simulation.  Another dismissed it as a "combo game"  doubtless as he lacked the ability to figure out how to actually play the game.

I still have the Kings Guard to finish. So many projects so little time
