Painted heroes of Rorke's drift 28mm

Hi all,

A long time since my last posted figures.
I've just finished these four (need to coat the base) heroes of Rorke's drift from Empress miniatures.

From L-R assistant commissary Dalton tending Pvt Hitch, Surgeon Major Reynolds, Cpl Schiess and Chaplain Smith.

I've tried to have a go at blending on these with limited success and struggled somewhat with getting a good depth on the black uniforms, overall I'm content with the progress and hope to get started on Chard, Bromhead etc soon.

Any criticisms or pointers would be much appreciated.
