Is that all of the sculpts from that range?  The NF mercs are such a different style, more cartoony looking to me.

There are three 4-figure packs of "Near Future Mercenaries" on the same page as the NF Trooper figs at the CP site.  The style's different - less uniform, kind of a Mega-City 1 vibe to me - but not incompatible.  Make good PMCs or an OpForce for the troopers.

Those are the four that I bought (16 minis in total in the four colour photos, not the B&W ones).

Cheers

The latter three are more recent releases, I think.  The other four have been around for quite a while, I remember seeing them before the CP site was redone.

Lovely paint ups Jon, you make our figures look good.

Now I am eagerly awaiting the next batch.

Thanks everyone who commented and liked them too.

Expanding them is problematic as it is difficult to find someone to match Richards style. He was such a talented guy and sorely missed.

The Mercs were done by Mark Evans with the intention of mixing with the existing figures but with a less uniform style. Hoping to twist his arm to get some more troopers and maybe some zombie versions too.

Fingers crossed he can fit them in and expand these guys.

Mark

Mark (CP),

I would certainly get some more if they were in the same style and size of of the originals, or maybe a touch larger to better mix with Copplestone, EM4 etc, etc.

Lovely models and useful for many sci-fi/near-future forces.

I have a large amount of the aliens and grey aliens also :o

Keep up the good work

Glen

They're not Hicksy sculpts; they were done by the late great Richard Ansell. Otherwise spot on with the origin story.

Size wise they are more HF than GW

I can understand why it was thought they were Paul Hicks sculpts, they are of a similar stature (I have a comparison photograph of one from the Hasslefree period and an Empress Anzac somewhere - not going to put such poorly/partly painted figures on Dags' thread though).

Certainly Empress' Vietnam range are a suitable supplier of opponents of a similar stature.

Just and FYI for anyone who's been drooling over these figs, I see CP Models is running a 20% off sale throughout July.  Good chance to get a set of your own at a discount.

I wonder if they still do free international shipping over a certain amount - think it was 100 pounds last I checked?
