Just a bit of eye-candy - US patrol objective just done, in prep for PSC's forthcoming rules.
Corgi Huey and Empress figures.

That looks really good. Grunts are rather tasty as well.

Very nice!

So PSC are doing rules? Will they be making toys for the rules as well?

A.  Lovely wreck, and figures.

B.  Yeah - They're called 'Nam 68, and were (are?) on pre-order for the "deluxe" version (hardback).  Once they sell their "deluxe" edition, they plan to make a soft-back available for print-on-demand.

C.  Yeah, they already do.  See here:  https://www.theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk/usa-vietnam-28mm/  and here:  https://www.theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk/viet-cong-vietnam-28mm/

Pre-ordered the rules in hardback; I don’t think they had the models up then, but I plan to use Empress for mine, anyway.

Cheers Jim!

Let's hope the rules are good because they don't seem to have spent their time or money researching the models. Oh well, I'm guessing it worked for Rubicon.

Yeah, the models aren’t great …

The pictures of the printed figures look OK, the photos of the 3D renders are a bit off-putting.

What annoys me is that basic research would reveal errors in weaponry. Sorting out the Hueys for example would have taken 5 minutes on Wikipedia or maybe just quick image search.

I suppose most people aren't too fussed but I'd rather drop my dosh on the exsiting makers who have taken the trouble to do the work.

Agreed! I am going with Empress, literally some of the  best in any range!

Mine are primarily Empress, with some Rubicon and Gringo40s thrown in.

But I think my Rubicon US Army and PAVN (along with their ARVN and ANZAC, if/when they ever get released...) will be used to kitbash more modern stuff for my fictional CA country of El Perdomo.

I'm actually really looking forward to the release of the ARVN and even the 'ANZACS' /Australians*. The ARVN will provide for a wealth of US client state armies, from Thailand to El Salvador and a lot in between. I'm even hoping to use some of them as members of the German security battalion in Berlin. The Australians should kit bash with the US Army to make acceptable Canuck proxies and might even provide some option to modify some of my existing Empress Australians.

*Folk who use the term ANZAC in a commercial context should realise that it's protected by law in Australia and its coomercial use requires a licence from the Federal Government. It's usually granted and it's free but there are potential problems if used unlicensed.
