Making homemade Aeronef
« on: 23 October 2010, 08:37:22 AM »
Long time ago, there are two rules that me a lot of curiosity, it's Land Ironclads and aerial version, Aeronef.

For the latter, I believe that after visiting all the forums and blogs about the game, gather enough ideas to make my own flying ships. The first question was the choice material for this odd jobs at the store where I work had anything even remotely a form suitable for the invention.
For the bodies of the ships use a nylon heel for hanging pictures, and a cyano glue caps, they have a very interesting forms.  :D
Well, then with the remains of Workshop and some other metal washer, that is the result:

Once the first part, placed on a hexagonal wood bases there had saved by using a piece of very thin steel rod, I think three millimeters that was nailed to the base.
To paint, you better be inspired by the "deadnoughts" of the First World War, these giants of the seas they used to blend in with a painting that "broke" her figure in the ocean, so very naval use colors like dark blue and gray .
The base has a simple job of dry brush in brown and gray / white with areas of vegetation.

I hope soon to show you a few more that are still in the early stages.

Greetings!

PS: I'm thinking of painting some distinguishing letters or numerals, but to represent such a large scale, I have my doubts.

Brilliant stuff!

Easily just as good as anything commercially available.

Brilliant scratch built aeronefs and the colour scheme is perfect. Love the use of .22 casings for the funnels.

And yet, a unique direction; now THAT'S genius.  ;)

Another case of me being skeptical until scroll down and the paint hits the surface; I'm so ashamed.

Well done!

I felt the same, though I tried really hard to imagine them as small archways...
