Khurasan 28mm Milites
« on: February 02, 2022, 07:58:15 AM »
Anyone have the 28mm Khurasan 12thC knights? I’m wondering how they scale up with Perry and also Victrix.

Looks like I will be a brave soul breaking new sod and exploring new frontiers. Will order and post comparisons when I do, just in case anyone else is interested in the range. They seem the most suitable for Cambro-Normans in Ireland circa 1170, hence the interest in seeing whether they match with other ranges as serjeants, foot etc.

I didn't know they made a historical range in 28mm. Good luck, and hope they fit the bill.

Yeah, came as a surprise to me but I found an old thread on here that mentioned them. Pretty good price too although the postage from the US almost doubles it. :(

While I am afraid I can't help you on the 28mm milites, I have over the years bought a lot of the Khurasan 15mm ranges and always have been very happy with their quality.
In fact my current project happens to be a recent purchase from them - 15mm Tupi Indians of Brazil.

Good luck with your project!

A few of the figs look like they would work for Bouvines 1214, if your report comes back positive I might buy a few also.

Thanks

I'd say depending on which models, you could use these even later; perhaps up to the end of the Albigensian crusade. Hopefully we get some infantry in this range soon. I was thinking about using them for the post 3rd Crusade campaigns of Richard I against Phillip II.

Oooh, I've always daydreamed about doing the Albigensian crusade, yes!  But too many ongoing projects, too little time. I've already got a big collection of 18mm Blue Moon early crusaders/Muslim opponents.

Hopefully good luck with the Khorasan figs, Carlos!
