I backed their previous, now OOP, TerraTiles projects and have been using it for my miniature wargames. They're a good alternative to owning multiple outdoor game mats, hill terrain, river terrain, and forest terrain. I mostly play solo miniature wargames, so shuffle up  the tiles to make a random board setup. Works well with 3D terrain, as the pic shows. :P

"TerraTiles is the easiest tabletop terrain system for RPGs, war-games, skirmish games, or other games that use miniatures. The double-sided hexagonal tiles are nine-inches from point to point. There are two options available. One features tiles with a mat finish. The other features tiles with a 1.5 inch hex grid overlay with a marker-safe coating allowing you to mark up the tiles with wet or dry erase markers during the game. TerraTiles are easy to set up and store and will become your go-to terrain system anytime you are at the table.

KS started today, with a 72-hour SG for free risers. Free box of special tiles with four boxes. Free boxes at eight- and ten-box pledges. Each box is 10 tiles. 3x3 table is 20 tiles, although you may want more to add variety.

EDIT: Free US Shipping

fwiw, I posted how many and which tiles you will want for the various Rangers of Shadowdeep campaign:

Rangers uses up to 3x3 tables, which is 20 tiles plus 5 half-hexes.
* Mission 1, Scenario 1: Any outdoor terrain, for a village.
* Mission 1, Scenario 2: Any outdoor terrain, for an outdoor spider lair of trees.
* Mission 2, Scenario 1: Outdoor terrain, including river tiles (ford). Also need bridge.
* Mission 2, Scenario 2: Three large 1.5' x 1.5' dungeon rooms. I'd use dungeon tiles.
* Mission 2, Scenario 3: 1.5' x 1.5' top of a tower, with 6" perimeter wooden walkway. No idea where you'd get terrain.
* Mission 3, Scenario 1: Section of a steep fissure, with a 4" winding path down the middle, and three holes where giant flies emerge. Caverns would work, with the "solid rock" being the side of the fissure, and the cavern area as the path down the fissure.
* Mission 3, Scenario 2: 2'x2' table with any combination of swamp and shallow water. That's just under 3x4 hexes, with two half-hexes. TT has Paths and Streams or Cliffs and Seas for shallow water, and Field accessories for swamp hexes. You won't be able to make a swamp that's larger than a hex and transitions from shallow water with TerraTiles (I bet nobody makes a game mat of water transitioning to swamp!), so would end up with a map of swamps connected with streams and connecting to a body of water representing shallow water.
* Mission 3, Scenario 3: Any outdoor terrain, for a ruined farmhouse.

"So, I am working on putting together a pre-order campaign directly through the raven keep.net website. I have been setting all of that up over the last couple of days and I could have it all done in a day or two more and be ready for website launch.

But, I also need to simplify this project and reduce the number of items/SKUs being created. I know there have been people in the comments who were trying to recreate the exact contents of the original Misty Moorlands and Coasts and Rivers boxes. So, I think the best idea is to go for a direct re-release of the original Misty Moorland and Coasts and Rivers boxes, plus the newly revised Cavern box and Desert box. Here were the contents of the original Misty Moorlands and Caverns boxes. ...

Since I am doing this through the website, I will only be able to ship these to the United States. I will try to connect with distributors in Europe and Canada to send these out to local gaming stores in those regions after the boxes come in.

We will also hold off on the gridded tiles with the marker-safe coating. If the pre-order for the non-gridded tiles with the matt finish goes, well, then maybe we can return to TerraTiles and create the marker-safe versions with the grids in a few months."

Pre-order up! Will only be open for ten days or so. Shipping charged later.

USA only, unless "one of the European distributors will be willing to get some of the sets and move them into the European market."

About a week left. Someone commented that the prices are lower than KS, because of fewer SKU's. Ravenkeep.net

After much consideration, I believe the best way to go forward with the TerraTiles project is to return them to their original 60-tile box format and run a direct pre-order for them through the Ravenkeep website. So, that is exactly what I have set up!

Everything is ready on the Ravenkeep website now to accept TerraTiles pre-orders. Click right here to go over to them and place your pre-order for the sets you want. TerraTiles: Misty Moorlands, TerraTiles: Coasts and Rivers, TerraTiles: Ancient Deserts, and TerraTiles: Caverns Deep as well as the risers are there. All of these boxes are the large 60 tile boxes with the matt finish on both sides. Misty Moorlands and Coasts and Rivers are direct re-releases of the sets as they originally had been printed. The Ancient Desert set and the Caverns Deep set are both brand new, and are also in the 60 tiles box format.

I realize that some people may only want the hex gridded version, but I am not able to do those at this time. I will also only be able to ship these pre-orders to the United States. No shipping is due right now. I will invoice for shipping once the boxes are here and I am ready to ship them out (the TerraTiles boxes are not eligible for free shipping). Until that time, I will keep you updated with the status of the project through email as we go.

I have attached graphics of the box contents for both the Misty Moorlands, Coasts and Rivers, Ancient Desert, and Caverns Deep sets to this email.

I want this pre-order to go as smoothly as possible. So, if you have questions, please let me know. If you want these large tile sets for your table, now is the time to place the pre-order. I only anticipate holding the pre-order open for about a week before placing the order with the manufacturer.

I really appreciate everyone who has been so supportive of the TerraTiles project over the last few months in all of its iterations. I am looking forward to getting these boxes over to the manufacturer so we can get these on gaming tables.

If you have questions, please let me know. Otherwise, Ravenkeep is the place to be for the pre-order.

Good to see these coming back. Always wished I'd purchased some back in the day.
Delivery is next year, June 2023? Is that correct?

Sorry, should have checked earlier for the creator's reply:

"If you're talking about for the pre-order, that's roughly its expected date."
