Star Wars Armada

Hi

I have a large collection of SW Armada ships and love the idea of playing space ship battles with my 12 year old son, however neither of us like the rules.

Has anyone tried other rules or have stats for the ships to use with other rules, such as Full Thrust?

Atually the rules are cool, however too confusing for a twelve year old, I think. They even are a challenge for myself and sometimes hard to master, but I was convinced after a couple of games. I had played Battlefleet Gothic before and X-Wing of course. I really like it though, but I admit that it's a strategic approach there that isn't necessarily appealing to everyone. one could hardly cope on a tactical basis if circumstances appear that one isn't prepared for. I like that, because such is life and even more a real battle. All good plans are scrap once you face the enemy...
