28mm Churchill AVRE project
« on: 14 January 2023, 04:59:57 PM »
I've posted a long, image heavy thread about creating a 3 tank assault group of these legendary vehicles. I had to dive deep on this because I found a lot of the available stuff about the 79th Armoured Division Funnies in North West Europe was either scant or inconsistent

Those Trenchworx models are rather nice - great work

I’ve a soft spot for 79th AD - but have collected mine in 10mm, so haven’t needed too much beyond AoS numbers.

Cheers. At 10mm you can do full scale breaching operations! 28mm is very appealing but table top scales present their own challenges

This is my AVRE: https://themodelwarrior.com/2021/06/19/tilly-sur-seulles-diorama-bolt-action/

A good book to read for info is Nigel Duncans Hobbarts Funnies. Also S&S models do very nice conversion kits for 1/56 kits.
