Are the Victrix Norman horses the same ones used in the Ancient Gallic and Republican Roman cavalry sets, but with different period tack?

I'm looking for large sized plastic horses for Dark Ages/Early Medieval period and since Victrix is having a 20% off Punic Wars sale, I thought of getting two packs and modifying the tack. The riders will be converted for a fantasy project and/or sold.

Not sure if it's what you're interested in - but Wargames Atlantic do a basic box of nothing but horses with some different saddles?  Maybe suitable?

They're always on sale (I think they don't sell many).

They might be slightly small for what I have in mind, based on this blog page: https://destroycarthage.blogspot.com/2018/10/victrix-made-shetland-pony-for.html

Fireforge Byzantine horses would've been fine, but I have some and they're a little thin.

I have the EIR Victrix cavalry and their Normans. As far as I can tell the horses are identical in size although the poses are slightly different as is the harness.

Thanks for the info about the size comparison. I was getting some eyestrain comparing and contrasting pics. I notice the new mounted horse archers look like they're on the same horses. lol Before the sale ended, I ordered a box of Gallic cavalry. It's really the saddle that's the issue, as the arrangement of straps doesn't look that different between a saddle that comes with or without stirrups.
