Dabbling in an 1815 campaign system
« on: 06 April 2023, 12:01:47 AM »
Following the recent Strategy & Guile campaign articles in the past two Wargame Illustrated magazine, I have been inspired to get a one day  battle done with a campaign style engine.

With the structure of the Wavre battle / campaign getting firmer. I decided to run a small brigade (French) Vs Regiment (Prussian) game as a test as this could be a size of action that frequently crops up in the campaign.

I went with the Shadow of the Eagles rules to have a look at how attacks of Built Up Areas felt and to see how many hits would be on units at the end of play and how that might transfer across to permanent hits on units for the rest of the campaign.

There is a bit more detail over on the blog. LINK
