Slither lady...
« on: October 30, 2009, 09:09:24 PM »
Slither is one of my favorite 'horror' movies.  It's quirky, fun, and totally bizarre.

So, I decided it would be a good thing to practice my sculpting on....

First up...Brenda.

This poor gal got inseminated by the Chief baddie, and has become a giant womb.

The armature was just a ball of tin foil...I covered it with Pro-create, and when I couldn't get the smoothness I wanted, coated that with some Milliput.  The hands and face are just Pro-create.

Here's one for scale, with Brenda now primed and ready for lots of fleshy paint:

What do you think?

"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

The film is a hidden gem in horror movies....

Basically, a meteor from outerspace holds an alien parasite....In infects one guy, he impregnates a 'human womb'....and then all these weird slithery worms come out to infect others...

You should check it out!

nice idea... the double chin fold thingy looks too big and seperate to the rest compared to the source... you may want to imbed the head more into the mass of the body...

Oh yeah, that movie. I remember seeing the trailer and saying, "hey, I should rent that." And of course I later forgot to entirely.

Are you going to make more stuff from the film?
Everything is better with lizardmen.

Yeah, I plan on trying more characters from the movie....some of them are basically zombies...

I think I may try this one again...it didn't take me that long, plus I think I learned some things along the way.

 :-X Starlaaaaaaa... Starlaaaaaaa...  :-X

I love that movie! The face looks good but it's a bit large, I second the comment on the double chin, I'd re-do that part. I also can't see the hands very well, but other than that it's suitably gross  ;D

MAYBE make the head/face a tad smaller, but otherwise this looks just as creepy as the bloated, parasite filled BRENDA in the movie.

GOOD JOB SUPERVIK!

Sadly, no.  No noise on that front for quite some time now!!

Thanks to you all for comments/suggestions.  I'm painting this one up now, but am still planning on a re-do.
