Operation Konrad I

We had club meet up lately with participant game of german counterattack toward Budapest in January 1945.
Here are so,me photos from this rarely played battle.

Final German push capturing the city but failing with push against the hills.

Despite bloodbath of Russians


Result was historical stealmate after German armored forces were spent

Great success, and best looking game we fought to date.
Next year is being debated between Konrad II or something in 44.
