Quick question regarding HOTT...

I have a PDF of it, which says it's 2nd Edition, April 2002 on the front page. Is this the most recent version, or has there been a new release?

Thanks

The latest version is the 2014 Version 2.1, which I think is print only (you can get it on Amazon).

The only real change is a swap of the movement rates of warband and shooter elements (warbands now move 300 paces in good and bad going, and shooters 200, rather than the other way around as in 1 and 2.0). This was a common house rule in the earlier editions, apparently, so it's just been formalised.

There's also a suggestion that players might want to use base widths as 100 paces (so 100 paces would be 6cm in 28mm rather than 4cm). But that's about it; I think 2.1 might have more diagrams and example army lists, though I could be wrong.

And I’ve done the same! Any war game that allows me to whip through a grand battle in 30 minutes is worth checking out.
