Great looking figures Alan, seeing all these 40mm on the forum is motivating me to get my own collection back up and running.

Look forward to seeing more.

That would be a good move. We need to see more 40s.

Far too bright here for decent photos this morning, but here's some quick snaps of the finished 20th.

As they are in Saratoga uniform, I haven't done a colour party, but I suppose for general use I should really do one. That would bring them up to 32 figures.

Excellent work Alan, definitely motivating me to get more 40mm sorted, not sure whether to have 6 to a base or 4 to a base?

Also finding it inspirational

I'm increasingly thinking sabot trays (e.g. from warbases) could do the trick.

A few more additions. A mounted British Officer (Triguard Miniatures) of 33rd. The odd patch on the base will either stay as a small puddle, or I'll add a foot figure!

Some quick test paints of masters of marching figures to see how they look painted (these will be 44th). I'm happy. A couple of sculpting changes to be made to the officers, they have separate right arms, there are 3 variants.

I'll move away from using scale 75 artists white, I can't get it to a consistency I like and I'm not keen on the overall finished look. Back to vallejo for whites.

Good to see your collection is making progress.  Nice mounted officer.

A change of job has meant a lack of time to move this on, but i've made some progress recently.

First off, what seemed to be a bargain ebay purchase of some British Artillery turned into a complete repaint. The previous owner had caked the head joints with some kind of filler and superglue, leading to unsightly blobs. I took the heads off to replace them and a lot of the detail came off with them. So, ho hum, a complete repaint. I still have 2 figures left over that are unusable.

Second is a total result. I managed to pick up a couple of British mounted Officers painted by the late Tony Runkee. Lovely figures, the colours really pop. So the next unit I paint from bare metal will be influenced by the tones he used.

The artillery and mounted officers are fine additions to the collection.  Like the basing style of the mounted, have opted for this style with my own 40mils. Your collection is growing.
