In the Buff Playtest - Devon Wargames Group
« on: 10 December 2023, 11:30:47 AM »
One of the games played at last month's meeting of the DWG was a playtest of a set of rules in the making, with a few of the chaps getting together to playtest some ideas for a potential set of Renaissance era rules, loosely referred to as 'In the Buff' from the Too Fat Lardies.

I would stress that the rules do not exist formally, but it was fun seeing ideas being tested at the club that will hopefully inform that development.

If you would like to know more about the game then follow the link to the club blog.

Great figure collection.  Looking forward to seeing the Lardy rules when finished.

Fantastic looking game and not at all what I expected to see based on the In the Buff article in whatever year it was published.

This looks to be a more free flowing game?

Anyway, brilliant stuff  :-* :-* :-*

Ending around the Thirty Years War, I expect they would work for the ECW as well. Might be perfect for Bloody Miniatures.

Lovely looking game.  Is the terrain made from scratch or purchased?

Hiya, the trees were built be me, the buildings are the small medieval houses that 4ground used to do just as blank MDF shells, converted and tarted up by me. The hedges were bought from ebay, sorry I've forgotten the name of the supplier. The Sconce is scratch built by myself. Figures are mostly foundry with some citadel and gamezone mixed in.
