Don't write them off completely. I picked up a couple of the plastic boxed sets, mainly for figure conversion and spare bits. The hard plastic figures seem fine, it's the resin support blister that annoyed me. Even that is workable, I'm mostly disappointed that something I thought would be a standard metal set is made of (in my eyes) an inferior material. My bigger beef with Rubicon is their research, some of their boxes and the previews of forthcoming ones suggest that the research, at least on non-vehicular subjects is rather slap-dash.Do I sound like a grumpy old man? S'pose I must be.
Once upon a time [Rubicon] ran a forum and got all kinds of useful feedback on projects in the works*. Now they have a Fuckface page and not so much.....*Technically speaking the forum is still there but tumbleweeds and silence prevail.
Wait Rubicon ran a forum or Warlord ran a forum?
This WHOLE forum is grumpy old men
Well the story has a happy ending, following Carlos Marighela's advice I picked up some Eureka Japanese and was extremely happy with them.
This WHOLE forum is grumpy old men.
