These are some palms, I think they are from Pegasus Hobbies, which I slightly converted from coconut to date palms.
Date palms, indigenous to North Africa, is a essential culture bearing crop which importance to caravan trades cannot be exaggerated. They carry an abundance of sickeningly sweet fruits, full of calories. As dried fruits they can keep people sustained through long journeys across the sands.
I figured these are a must for a Harad gaming table (well, any desert gaming board for fantasy or historical North Africa to Middle East)

To add date bunches to my palms I made branches from thin copper wire which I first dipped in two part epoxy glue, then poppy seeds. When the glue has set I fixated the seeds with superglue for good measure. The bunches were then painted in the rich golden yellow emblematic for the fruit and stuck under the palm fronds.
