Yes, this sculpt could also make a great Soviet/Eastern Block statue with a proper plinth. In Hungary there was a Lenin statue a few kms from where I live (in front of a big factory) with this exact pose and it was infamous of someone putting a slice of bread and dripping into its hand. Communists and authorities were furious, but they never found out who did it.

I found it particularly funny that it was firefighters that nicked Lenin's car. A quarter of a century ago I used to work for the Firefighters' Union.
