The next stage of the Camperdown project has been completed with a 'Let's Build' addition to the collection with the modelling of the 12-gun armed lugger HMAL Speculator together with a French Chasse Marie to fill a gap for those single ship privateer encounter scenarios.



The lugger was a common site in British waters ideally suited for operating close to shore and in the shallows that would have typified the shoal waters of the Dutch coast and was a constant threat to British merchant shipping when in the hands of competent and motivated privateers.
