Frontier Trading Post???

LAFers, has anyone built a FIW-era or Cherokee Wars frontier trading post? Care to show share some pics? Thx

Acheson Creations created all kinds of FIW trading post pieces. Alas they retired. Scott Ross frequents TMP so try to contact him there. He might know who bought Craig's molds for that Era or they still might have the molds and release them as bundles. I have a lot of the pieces to create a variety of different trading posts. I love their stuff.

I agree on Acheson. I love their Frontier America line. Here's what mine looks like all finished:



The pieces you see with stairs are converted ones. I took the piece you see next to the tower in the top & center of the photo and created my own stairs with bass/balsa wood.

Acheson also did a smaller fort:


Great stuff! If you are able to find someone selling the pieces, I recommend running them through the dishwasher on low/no heat to remove the mould release agent. Good luck!

Not that I have built them but I have visited them and have taken loads of pictures; Boonesboro (which was more of a fortified settlement than a proper military fort) and Fort Watagua (which is more of the same) and further south Fort Loudon and Tellicoe blockhouse were built to "protect" the Cherokee from the aggressive white settlers.
