For Great War gamers not wanting to feel left out, fear not. We've always got Ostend and Zeebrugge. See, there's nothing new under the sun (only U-Boats were the threat this time, rather than the Tirpitz):

Raising this thread from the dead…

I’m interested in doing a small portion of the raid (one ML full of commandos) using 02 Hundred Hours.  Does anyone know of a ML model close enough to 28mm figure scale to use?  My Google-fu has come up blank.  Sarissa do an MTB, but frankly, i don’t much care for it.  Any other options out there?

If you fancy a bit of conversion work then there are a couple of plastic kits in 1/48 and 1/64 of PT boats out there (Elco and Higgins types IIRC)

Dunno of any Fairmile MTBs. That's almost certainly a from the waterline up scratchbuild. Here's a chap who made his own. I'm not suggesting you go anywhere near as detailed as this mind you.

Blueprints available here:

Might be best working with balsa and cardboard.

There is a St Nazaire scenario in Don Featherstone: Battles for wargamers. He does a good job of simplifying the terrain so it fits on an 8’x5’ table, and has good suggestions for the game

Does anybody make commandos in kilts, by the way?

As I recall, some of them were bekilted at St. Nazaire.

Bob Murch's Pulp Miniatures has a unit of kilt wearing WW2 era soldiers. They're wearing helmets instead of berets or wooly hats though...

+++EDIT+++ dang; didn't see the strong threadomancy at work here; this thread is 16 years old! The minis I mentioned were probably not even sculpted back then lol
