Very cool battles.
Glad to see Pikeman's Lament. used to for Samurai battles.
Love the Dixon figures.
I know they are not everyone's cup of tea.
Excellent small changes in the rules, well done.
Really look forward to reading about the next battle.

Coming late to both Pikeman’s Lament and a Sengoku Jidai variant to the rules.

I especially enjoy the addition of Ninjas as a response to rolling double 1’s and 6’s. Gives flavor without being too crazy.

One question: Can I assume all Samurai are Aggressive Forlorn Hope?

It has been a while since we played the rules, so I'll
have to drag them out & take another refresher.
Will get back to you a.s.a.p. (remind me if I don't.  :D

I've been into the boxes with the Samurai,
and yes, we did classify them as Aggressive Forlorne Hope.

Let us know how you get on with your game, & have fun.

Thanks again.

I just ordered Scottish troops for PL after giving my ECW armies to friends. But, I already have enough finished Japanese troops to play right now. Hope Mr. Mersey doesn’t mind.

I have the Ii clan who had limited cavalry, but were ferocious foot troops, and also the Takeda clan, who were famous for their cavalry charges. These should be easy to retrofit into PL. Now just have to see how to get the Ikko-Ikki and Sohei sorted.
