Another chapter in our Star Wars skirmish campaign using Space Weirdos rules. Luckily, I got a day in advance warning that an extra player would be showing up...!

Too many miniatures to paint? Focus on a few by playing a game you already have miniatures painted for -- but need a few more!

Proxied some Cthulhu Wars miniatures for some baddies in Descent, and made some sludge tokens with clear acrylic bases. Miniatures and tokens were painted with Army Painter Warpaints and washes. For the tokens, I started with a mix of green wash and dissolved putty, then painted with a clear yellow gloss paint. Pics of the heroes and chapel were painted *years* ago. :P

Canadian Militia form up in response to the sentry's warning shot

I did get is a decent amount of gaming while the Forum was down. First, here's a game I ran at the local history museum, "Skirmish at Jumonville Glen." I used my own Song of Drums and Tomahawks rules, and revamped the historical events to have the French awake and ready for the attack of Lt. Col. Washington and the Virginia Militia.

The game at the museum proved ridiculously popular! I had 6 folks RSVP saying they were coming, but had a total of 10 folks playing! We  (our local chapter of the the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society) are doing this historical scenarios once a month inside the museum, among the exhibits, to get the word out about fun "History games" you can play.

Fun times, and made me tweak the rules a bit to enable it to work well for such a large game. Everyone said they had a great time and we have had a few players sign up for memberships since the game.
