Guns of the Alamo

What would be a good 18 pounder gun to use for the defenders same goes for the 4  and 8 pounders used by the defenders? For 28mm what do you people use for artillerymen?

Keep in mind that the small arms of the Mexican army were old British weaponry.  You would be safe (I think) in using any guns that would be Napoleonic cast offs...either Spanish or British.

Blaze Away minatuers has all the old cannonfodder minatuers texas war of indapindace range.
and they have arty and artycrew.  Oldglory minatuers also has a few.

You can look at any Napoleonic range and pick guns from there.
 The Mexicans (whilst using British Brown Bess muskets/Baker rifles) used French  style cannon. So look at those, I have OG guns, but am looking at Front Rank ones to use with my figures.
OG produce an Alamo range in 28mm so you could use the artillerymen from there, I will be producing them in due course for Boot Hill Miniatures.
