Colonial America Figure help needed
« on: March 15, 2010, 05:12:22 PM »
I am working on a project for a pulp game that will include some statues. I need to find two mounted figures to become the statues.

Here are the criteria I am looking for and hoping the collective knowledge of the group will make the search easier.

1) Mounted Figure, the horse should not be running, a static or one leg up pose would be best.

2) The figure should look suitable Colonial America. This can be an American, Native American or Frenchman. They should not be too "done up" (as in frills or gaudy decorative elements) as they will represent fictional characters from the Great Lakes area. They do not need to be generals as long as they look commanding.

3) They need to be 28mm or potentially as large as 54mm. But both will need to be the same scale.

4) The rider's pose should be heroic (straight back, one arm up pointing, rallying the troops, or waving a hat or saber).

Any and all thoughts appreciated. If you can link to a picture, great, if not, then at least a manufacturer and range would help.

Thanks. I spotted two potential ones for a French and American statue from their AWI line.

What about an AWI 40mm figures from Trident designs?

Maybe one of those… http://www.miniatureservicecenter.com/msc-personalities.htm
