Are the rifles a little small - I always though that the Lebel plus bayonet was almost a man's height (depends on the man's height of course - i am looking at my WW1 Infatry in Colour Photographs book)

I don’t know the actual length of the Lebel rifle with his bayonet but it was nicknamed the "cane à pêche" by the French Infantrymen… so yes, they do seem a little short on the figures.

Great looking figures.
When and where will they be available?

Very nice figures.  I can't wait to purchase some.

regarding the fluted helmets... I've seen some pictures of those, and they usually are present in museums... my guess would be that the infantry used both and also a cap which is different from the French and the British one

As I recognized it from my Mollo/Turner I looked it up. Made in Birmingham under contract from the Portuguese gvmnt. Nothing on how rare or common it was.

I am trusting that he will make a whole range of French, bombers, VBs Chauchat gunners and give them the same treatment he gave the turks and brits right?
