Greetings from the Antipodes
« on: 21 April 2010, 06:39:20 AM »
Hi all

After browsing LAF for ages I finally pulled my finger out and joined, mainly so I remember to join the next round of the painting league. So is a quick rundown on my hobby activities

I've been roleplaying for 25 years, wargaming for 20 and painting for 15. I play with a close bunch of friends west of Sydney.

(I sound so old!)

Currently the only roleplaying games we are playing is some 3.5D&D and my own D20 frankenstein for pulp horror which I referee. Our pulp game is my favourite, our previous adventure was  "The Esoteric League and the Roman Red Brigade" - stopping Boleshevik vampires from taking over Romania which included getting attacked by a zepplin. The current game is "the Esoteric League and the Horror in the Rif" - trying to dispose of a cthonian object from outer space before the Rif rebels or Franco's foreign legion get to it. We have a range of fantasy and pulp figs which we use when playing, I have in particular quite a few pulp figs (around 50).

On the wargaming front, we play pretty much anything, FoW, FoG, WECW, WH40K, BFG, Epic, Necromunda, Mordheim, Warmaster, Canvas Eagles, Bloodbowl, Form Line of Battle (1/200th Age of Sail), Shootist (western skirmish), Gladiator! (homegrown gladiatorial)  I have figures for all of these games, some collections are quite large.

cheers

Cory

Aye, welcome aboard. Sounds like you know how to kick it when it comes to some damn fine games, eh?
