Quite possible. =) I got these recently in job lots. Correct me if I'm wrong, but lead rot doesn't spread like a virus, ravaging your entire collection - it just affects all susceptible models under certain storage conditions?

The guy to the right is pretty grainy, hence my "will see how it cleans up". The one on the left does not look affected, just dark but unblemished surface. There's no dusty residue to any of them...

As a matter of fact I think it can jump from one mini to another as the process is a self feeding chemical process. I think the conditions you store old +75% lead minis is more the culprit than the proximity of afflicted miniatures. Humidity and environmental acidity are the main culprits lead carbonization.

I'd give them an undercoat, just to be safe.

I'll try to paint the bug-eyed freak, the others I'll just chuck. Unless someone wants them, that is. =)

You're going to chuck Ugbash Facesplitter?!?

I don't need him, I have one of my own, but even so...

The mini in the middle is a middle earth orc of red eye but i cant for the life of me remember who made it, i have about 30 of them amongst other lotr stuff i can't identify all from the early 8o's.

Edit.
Found it, no surprise as it was in the asgard orc horde box only a line drawing in lost minis wiki
FG-5 Giant orc in plate armour
got 28 of them  ::)
