Very nice but where are the dancing girls - bundled in the packs on the elephant?

Very nice indeed, again.

Everything seems to be individually based.  Have I missed an earlier post explaining the rules used?  The 'Bengalis' (local gaming club) had to give up on TSATF, because the 'Recriminations Phase' was just to long... and vocal.  Is it for 'Black Powder?'  A chap in Australia bought some of my Zouaves for those rules.  I think he said that they require "tons of lead." Actually, I think he may have said that you need to play the game with a shovel to bring on the reinforcements.  So I guess that's lots of figures then.

I just started work on a baggage train, but its for Sub Saharan Africa.  So it's mostly chaps wearing 'baggage hats.'

Regards,
MW

We started out using very heavily modified Sword and the Flame and Rico's TSATF/Soldier's Companion hybrid rules so individual basing was the way to go. Gives me the most flexibility.

Black Powder it really doesn't matter so long as the units are roughly the same frontage.

I am toying with getting some of the bases from Litko with the cut outs for one inch round bases to slot into.

@Svenn: scroll way down.

One of the local club members developed what is probably the most 'logical' approach to basing figures.  He doesn't.  He glues the figure's stand/base to magnetic sheet.  Then stores the figures in plastic boxes with sheet steel on the bottom.

When it's time to play a game requiring individual basing, he brings out his sets of color coded steel washers and sticks the figures on them.  When it's time to play the Death in the Dark Continent rules, that require DBR type bases, he trots out his Litko bases with sheet steel on top.  You get the idea.

His figures are always 'based' exactly right.  AND when ever he wants to run one of those Pulp games on one of his magnificently detailed tramp steamers... The figures actually fit.

Got a chance to get my hands on many of these minis at a game this evening playing the Blackpowder rules. The pictures hardly do them justice. A pleasure to play with such beautiful miniatures
