AE-WWII Basra: 1946 Campaign Book
« on: 25 August 2010, 02:54:29 PM »
Well boyos!
This book just came in the mail yesterday (as well as a few new Darkson Minis...), and it looks great!

We FINALLY have Tanks.  Lots and lots of Tanks!  Including the Tumble Weed Tank (yea, it was covered in the Occult book too...).  That was a really nice add on.  Have not fully read the new rules covering them yet, but I will get to it by the end of the week.

The book is full color, lots of new items in there for the Afrika campaign.  Including some new "beasties", i.e. captured dinji and mummies!

Only one gripe...  When flipping though the book, little to no pics of games.  Lots of 'flavor' pictures, but no pics of a game in play.  The only reason I bring this up is that I get lots of inspiration from seeing other people's gaming tables, so I thought it was a tad lacking in that aspect.

I have not finished reading it yet, but when I do, I know I got a few games to play!

I also picked up the new "hound" packs, both German and Allies.  As well as the Druid, and the new Rommel fig.
Great looking figs. I cannot wait to paint these up!

Nicely done Darkson.

I've heard that there's quite a few new units for the Brits in it, any chance of a run down of them?
