Thanks - There's a core of 2mm brass rod through the middle of the beads. Keeps them straight and gives a nice spike at the bottom for sticking into the foam base.

Well, I think the beads I have for the center posts have more characters... 

However, they may have been a bit wider, perhaps too; yours look smashing! I know I can't take credit for suggesting beads, but I will for pointing out sculpted, antiqued ones. Gott im Himmel, I have to brag about something.

All that said, you've made a believer out of me; sis can get her own damn beads!

oh darn ... sometimes I just forget this is meant to be a competition. There are just so many good ideas and pictures flying around, and great people showing amazing stuff ... I find the whole most extraordinary !!
