Battle of Britain Air Show - IWM Duxford

Last weekend I was fortunate to be able to attend the Imperial War Museum Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show. I got a little trigger happy and shot over 600 pictures in the course of the day. Fortunately I have been able to whittle this down to a reasonable number and have now posted a slideshow of my photo's on my Blog.  BLMA Link

The IWM put on an excellent event with loads of traders, and Veterans present in addition to access to the regular exhibits and the air show itself. On the Saturday alone there were 24,000 visitors with a further 20,000 on the Sunday. I suspect that the biggest draw was the promised flight of no less than 16 Spitfires. This was a truly incredible sight and sent shivers down my spine.

I am SOOOOO jealous, you got to see sixteen, SIXTEEN! Spits flying formation...Man, I get goosebumps just imagining what it must have sounded like (you read that right, these Merlins purr like nothing else).
