I have no idea how Blazeaway compare to Express (never heard of them actually) but I do have a collection of the Blazeaway stuff from its former incarnation as part of the Cannonfodder range. They are large minis on the whole and will tower over the average Irregular miniature which are closer to 25mm. Height wise they size up well with Copplestone, at least many of them do and herein lie the problem. The sculpts are all over the place in terms of size. Ok, differing heights and girths for real folk but some have tiny pin heads and others with pumpkin noggins. the Interwar german range is the worst for this.
All in all they are a pretty mixed bag, quality wise. There are some very nice figures in amongst the various ranges and the Anglo-Irish war is probably the best of the lot but there are a lot of really awful sculpts, grotesque faces, misshapen anatomy and plain silly poses. The famous 'ice-skating Mexican' occurs across the ranges, a pose to rival any of Old Glory's gymnastic gargoyles.
That said, I'm no great fan of Irregular either but at least they are consistently bloody awful figures.
BTW look at the photo of the Cannonfodder/Blazeaway miniaturesyou posted and you can see what I mean about pin heads and melon heads. Alas, these aren't even the most egregious examples.
