First Men In The Moon - coming soon to BBC4 in the UK
« on: 06 October 2010, 01:27:14 PM »
For those of you who can get the UK's BBC4 they will be showing an adaptation of H.G Wells' First Men In The Moon. No date yet. Here's a link to the trailer:

There is another trailer running on the channel which shows a lot more Moon action. It'll certainly be worth a watch.

Don't!

It looks to be somewhat of a comedy, no problem with that! Also is it me or do they have some part of music that sound a lot that the new sherlock holmes movie?

It is a BBC production so I wouuldn't expect a blockbuster  ;).

I thought the same when I heard the soundtrack, maybe it's just for the trailer.

Speaking of comedies I came across this too:

Reminds me of Timothy Hines 2005 version of WOTW:

Arhh, wonderful stuff written by and starring Mark Gatiss (who co wrote the new Sherlock Holmes series). It should be good. :)
And he sports a wonderful pair of mutton chops :D

I shall look forward to that, but I hate and despise "coming soon" adverts! Just give me a damned date!

I saw this particular War of the Worlds movie a few years ago...and thought it was terrible. The special effects are horrendous.
