Llamas
« on: 20 December 2010, 10:12:33 PM »
Yes, llamas. My wife likes them, and as a Christmas present, I'm creating a diorama entitled "Once Upon a Time in the Andes". (Tip of the hat to Sergio Leones and Robert Rodriguez...)

This is strictly a WIP - there's a lot of detail painting to add, along with tall grass and wind-blown snow. (My blog-link has the full story to date, with other foolishness as well.)

The figures are from MegaMinis, and the whole assembly will fit under a 3" diameter bell-jar for dust-free display. I'm still debating whether to mount the whole dome on a wooden base with the title...

If I had a llama, I'd call him Dalai.

Nice work btw.

Very nice. I reckon if you could knock those out at $50.00 - $75.00 a piece in somewhere like Cuzco or Lima.

I've searched the length and breadth of Brazil for a snowdome and curiously enough, I've never found one. Maybe I'll try Campos do Jordão next.
