Reworked AT-43
« on: December 12, 2010, 07:31:41 PM »
Received a box from Fantasy Flight this week. I bought AT-43 at a hugely reduced rate from them. I really like the sculpts they have and with a bit of work, they actually look quite nice.

To define the painting, I dipped them with brown and black dips. This gave instant shading. I then repainted things like the skin, eyes, goggle lenses, etc. Finally some basing and battle damage on the huge walker and done. All a few hours work. I've got more stuff on the way ;)

Really nice sculpt, but needed repainted skin and repainted lenses on the gun and helmet.

Awesome sculpt and REALLY big! It dwarves Warmachine warjacks. I invested most of the time on him to do a lot of battle damage to break up the big surfaces. I want more of these...the sculpt is so fantastic!

These sculpts are the reason I started buying AT-43...I really love these sculpts. There are 6 of them on the way. I simply dipped him and based him. Easy.

Nice sculpts with odd faces. Especially the one on the right had a weird face with a casting problem below her lip. Oh well, a bit of paint and she's fine for gaming.

The guys who started this adventure. Simply dipped them, painted their faces and the lenses and done. I really was surprised with the effect of dipping them.

Nice sculpt with lots of character. I repainted his face and the laser effect.

Also some of my favorite units. Really nice concepts and their colors work well for dipping.

I took off the normal heads and replaced them with the goggle-helmets that came with them. Nice sculpts, but their poses are a bit odd. Good for gaming though.

All in all I'm very happy with the look for the time and money invested. And now to find a good general rules set for small scale sci-fi gaming with units...

I like what you've done here. Especially the quite loony look on Manon's (that's the blue-haired girl ^^) face.  :D

I really have no idea what I'm doing.

Indeed, very nice.

Really did a good job on the repaints and I especially like the female pilot... great cleavage!   :-*

Lovely miniatures. Lovely painting. Another set of models I've always wanted to get my hands on. Great work

Nice work on Sgt. Borz - the UNA pilot.

I've always been too lazy to dip mine - but these pictures may have sealed the deal.

I planned to buy a few Karman Trikes in the sales but could only find Buggies - so I picked up a few Dirz Monsters instead.  ::)

Is the sale over? It looks like they only have full price for the stuff on the site now.

Yup, it's over. Ended right after the information "yes, we do in fact ship this stuff worldwide" reached me.  :(
