Received a box from Fantasy Flight this week. I bought AT-43 at a hugely reduced rate from them. I really like the sculpts they have and with a bit of work, they actually look quite nice.
To define the painting, I dipped them with brown and black dips. This gave instant shading. I then repainted things like the skin, eyes, goggle lenses, etc. Finally some basing and battle damage on the huge walker and done. All a few hours work. I've got more stuff on the way
Really nice sculpt, but needed repainted skin and repainted lenses on the gun and helmet.
Awesome sculpt and REALLY big! It dwarves Warmachine warjacks. I invested most of the time on him to do a lot of battle damage to break up the big surfaces. I want more of these...the sculpt is so fantastic!
These sculpts are the reason I started buying AT-43...I really love these sculpts. There are 6 of them on the way. I simply dipped him and based him. Easy.
Nice sculpts with odd faces. Especially the one on the right had a weird face with a casting problem below her lip. Oh well, a bit of paint and she's fine for gaming.
The guys who started this adventure. Simply dipped them, painted their faces and the lenses and done. I really was surprised with the effect of dipping them.
Nice sculpt with lots of character. I repainted his face and the laser effect.
Also some of my favorite units. Really nice concepts and their colors work well for dipping.
I took off the normal heads and replaced them with the goggle-helmets that came with them. Nice sculpts, but their poses are a bit odd. Good for gaming though.
All in all I'm very happy with the look for the time and money invested. And now to find a good general rules set for small scale sci-fi gaming with units...
