Great battle report with some really fantastic pictures. What scale was the model that the Gunbird was based on?

1/48th I believe.

Sorry, no WIP pics, unless you want so see a unpainted hull.

Kits used are 2 Revell 1/32 Apaches for the hull, landing gear and tilt nacelles and 1 Chinese something 1/48th A-10 for the tail engines, plus some small bits from the bits box like Ju-86 cockpit glazing. When I started this ages ago it was actually meant to become a space game Destroyer... this was sort of recycled into this dropship.

Knowing Piers (V), you will see more of it. It's kind of leased to him  ;)

Great report. Some nice eye candy in those pictures too. I have just watched the first 3 alien films so this was a good bit of extra entertainment. Cheers.
