Hey those cacti look like the ones from the deassert scenics sets they sell for school kids to use for dioramas. I have a bunch of those myself.

Managed to get the painting finished and the ruins built .
I have also started experimenting with desert foliage
and would appreciate peoples opinions
I am going for a Sonoran / Mojave desert feel

As everyone knows, it's a cast-iron fact that every part of the Old West was covered in cacti, so they are must-haves.
  ;)  lol

That's a great desert terrain you have there. I can just see Zorro racing through it pursued by the Fat Sergeant's men :D
