LCVP
« on: 04 May 2011, 12:09:05 AM »
So in an attempt to keep me going on this, some very early pictures of the landing craft I'm making. It's a generic design to hopefully cover from WWII up to now, -ish. A lot of bits still need trimming back and I've started the driving position, but put it down somewhere and haven't remembered where yet.

And to give an idea of size, though it only works if you know how big the chieftain is :D should hold about 20 28mm figures when done.

Yvan eht nioj!

Looking good already.  Does anything keep the ramp up or is it just friction?

It's blue-tack keeping it up in that photo  ;) when it's in resin, I'm not sure what'll happen, not even sure if the hinge bit will even fit together or if it'll have to be cut off.

Got a picture of the drivers steering position

though if it doesn't come out in the mould, I mean to add variety, there's an armoured steering box, thing.

Well I've gone and cast up a couple of myself, you forget how bulky the resin is going to be when you're making it out of plasticard. And it still needs blue tack to hold the ramp shut  ;)
