How'd you do the chipping?

paint a scratch or chip with a lighter shade of the base coat then paint (usually) Vallejo German Camo Brown within the lighter shade leaving a distinct border. On this scheme - sand over blue/grey - the light sand chips have been painted a blue grey colour similar to the blue/grey base in most instances to represent the 'overpainted' sand camo chipping through to the blue/grey base colour. Some scratches are left in the lighter shade to represent less deep scratches/chips.

Smallest is 25mm (Hasslefree - forget the Grymn for now); Antenociti G.O.T. trooper is 25/28mm; Sedition Wars trooper 28/30mm.
Any particular mini you'd like to compare it to? If I've got one (and it's likely) I'll do a pic.

The NovaCorp troopers from Reaper is what I had in mind.

I'm going to use them as the standard assault armor for the UPF Fleet Marine Uniforms (from TSR's Star Frontiers) and those cars could be great combat cars for Land fleet battles.

That is intensely cool, nice camo its certainly something I have not seen used on a vehicle before and suits the sci fi feel!

...markings to add (if any). I have a desert scheme GOT trooper to photo alongside the vehicle but will convert and paint several different, half-figures for the open hatch.

I wasn't too keen on the first pics. It all looked a bit cartoony, but the endresult is definitly a thing of beauty.
That said, I still think the urban cammo version is the winner.  :)
