Soil color Delhi/Lucknow?

Anyone know the predominant soil color of this area if there is one? Looking at a geography site of India they list alluvial, laterite, red, regur or black as the 4 main types to be found in India. I'm getting ready to start basing Mutiny figs and wondered what the group thinks?

Generally pinkish (think Humbrol Desert Sand http://www.humbrol.com/_images/assets/product-directory/product-detail-thumbnail/paint_splat_152_enamel_B98D70.jpg) like the stone in those areas.
